We simply want to make the finest spirits possible from locally sourced surplus produce which reflects the flavours of the woods, orchards, fields and hedgerows that surround our distillery.
We use advanced technology and 100% renewable energy and work with our region's farmers to reduce food waste at the farm gate by fermenting and distilling quality produce that supermarkets won't take.

Producers have always been a key element in the operation of our Farmers Market and we have created systems to help their operation.
- Before the use of credit cards at the market was common, customers could buy 'Shipbourne pounds' with their credit card at the pub next door, which they could then spend at the market . - Following the first week of 'lock down' we created an 'on-line drive thru' solution, which enabled producers to continue to earn an income and became a very popular shopping experience for the community. Kent Life awarded the market 'Best Food and Drink initiative during Lockdown' and twe were awarded by the Government a 'Great Inspirations' award.
The market won the Farm Retail Association 'Best National Farmers Market' in 2022 and was 7 times winner 'Best Farmers Market in Kent' between 2010 and 2019
Shipbourne Farmers market also featured in :- - BBC series 'Farmers Country Showdown Click here to see it - BBC Radio 4 'Food and Farming'; - BBC 'Farming Today' re Shipbourne Farmers' Market pounds'. - Financial Times' as an example for preserving our Church heritage.
